#807 - "Red Rock House" by Bajè Whitethorne, Sr.

This verse appears on the inside upper portion of the card, the lower portion is blank for a personal note or greeting.

The forked hogan is constructed in tipi fashion with poles set vertically. It is known as the male hogan. Families and clans locate in canyons which provide shelter and fertile soil. Canyons provide shade in the summer and the red rocks absorb the heat of the winter sun.

Where my kindred dwell, there I wander.
The Red Rock House, there I wander.
Where dark Kethawns are at the doorway, there I wander.
With the pollen of dawn upon my trail, there I wander.
